About The ALC

Welcome to the Fridley Moore Lake
Area Learning Center!

The Area Learning Center (ALC) helps students achieve individual learning goals and receive a high school diploma. The ALC program features small classes, individual learning plans, flexible schedules, independent study and credit for on-the-job training. We serve students between the ages of 16 and 21 years old.  The program is open to Fridley residents, as well as students from other districts and communities.

Students can complete all of their coursework through the ALC, or they may be dual-enrolled, taking classes at a traditional high school and attending the ALC to make up credits for classes they have yet to complete. Students who satisfactorily complete all course work will receive a diploma from Fridley High School or their district of residence.

Regular School Hours: 8:00 am - 2:50 pm - Monday-Friday

Fridley Moore Lake Area Learning Center offers small class sizes, individualized support, classes tailored to adapt to different learners' needs, a safe environment, and a place where all students feel acceptance and belonging.

Our staff members work with our students on both academic skills and their social/emotional status.  They look for new ways to make learning fun and exciting, often by asking our students to "think outside the box."  We believe ALL students can succeed and thrive!

Please know we are always available to answer questions or to assist with any other issues you may be dealing with. The ALC main office number is 763-502-5165. You may leave messages 24/7. Give us a call today!
